The goal of this project is to convey an issue through the use of typography only.


 

Panel 1
Humans are killing coral reefs by adding heavy metals, hazardous waste and exhaust pollution to the water...

Panel 2:
A recent rise in coral illness is linked to warmer sea temperatures caused by global warming. Human air pollution (the greenhouse effect) is the main cause of global warming and in turn causes hurricanes and acid rain which damage the coral reefs...

Panel 3:
These acid rain chemicals enter the sea and cause the colorful coral to become bone white which is called a ‘bleaching event’...

Panel 4:
Bleached coral are left weak and defenseless against disease, ultimately killing them. As with so many other
endangered species, there doesn’t seem to be enough room for them. But we must change this or suffer untold
consequences.
